kat folker

Kat Folker is a screenwriter from New England, where she grew up in a town populated by more trees than people. Kat started her artistic journey as a puppeteer and has written, fabricated, and performed in everything from stage shows, touring projects, and film work, including for the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Bushnell Center for Performing Arts. Kat graduated from Columbia University’s MFA Film program in 2025 and was one of two students selected from her graduating class for the Dynamic Television Internship, a three-month program where she worked alongside television executives to develop an original pilot. A lover of storytelling in any form, Kat’s work focuses on oddballs stuck in fun and thrilling situations that test their beliefs in the world around them, other people, and themselves. She currently resides in Los Angeles, where she writes comedies, dramas, and horror, to which she adds her uniquely folksy and offbeat flair.
